Internships in Companies
For students of the Bachelor degree in Telecommunication Engineering, a period of practical training in a company is included in the syllabus (between 180 and 450 hours) while for students of the Bachelor degree in Aeronautics this practical training is optional.
For students of a masters degree, the practical training period is optional but it is strongly recommended to students choosing specialising in Telecommunication Services and Networks, or Telecommunication Policies and Business Management.
EETAC has contacts with more than 180 companies and research institutes, which guarantees a sufficient availability and that students are able to choose according to their professional preferences.
Students can acquire this experience by doing the Diploma/Master Thesis at a company or by spending part of one semester working as trainee student in some of the companies with which EETAC has collaboration agreements. The availability of internships is periodically updated at the school intranet and are accessible by all the students and staff.
There are regulations which limit the maximum number of hours a student can spend in an internship, regulate the salary the student should receive according to their profile, limit the maximum number of hours/week a student can devote to the company, recommend what should be included in a work plan, etc.
At the end of the training period the student, the company and the student's tutor write a valoration report and a questionnaire which is used to assign a final qualification to the student for this activity.
